HID-CARD™

HID-CARD™ is specially developed for the collection, transportation, and storage of human DNA from buccal cells, saliva, blood, and other body fluids for identification purposes. Thanks to its unique chemical treatment, HID-CARD™ can preserve DNA for up to 20 years at room temperature.*

Forensic DNA Standards

Compliance with ISO 18385:2016 helps minimize the risk of detectable human DNA contamination in products used by the global forensic community.

Traceability

Each HID-CARD™ is identified by a pre-printed barcode, enabling fast and accurate sample tracking and management.

DNA processing and preservation

The proprietary formulation of HID-CARD™ inactivates microorganisms to ensure optimal DNA preservation. Its optional on-card lysis method allows direct STR PCR analysis from a small punch of the card without requiring an extraction step.

Automation and cleaning area

HID-CARD™ is compatible with the CPA200™ and other punching systems. It is designed with a designated area for cleaning between punches when using either manual or automated punching devices.

Swabs ensure a quick, capillarity-driven sample uptake and a superior elution of the biological specimen. HID-CARD™ can be paired with an exclusive one -side padded and cuttable Swabs to extract DNA directly.
